The Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park opened in January 1992 under the name of Parndana Wildlife Park by Russell and Shirley Ross. 21 years later, in 2013, Russell and Shirley have retired, selling their pride and joy to a new couple, Sam and Dana Mitchell.
Sam and Dana come from a wildlife background and have been studying their whole lives for the opportunity to support conservation through their own wildlife park.
Sam and Dana have taken over the daily running of the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, given it a new name and are giving the Park a new lease on life.
The renovations, extensions and upgrades have already begun and there are many more plans for upgrades and future enclosures.
